Terex Unveils New Rough Terrain Crane
Oct. 19, 2021 - Terex Cranes unveiled its latest innovation — the new TRT 35 rough terrain crane — at GIS, Italy's lifting show, from Oct. 7-9 in Piacenza, Italy.
The new model expands the Terex TRT rough terrain offering, following the successful launch of the TRT 80 and the TRT 90 earlier this year.
The range features the Terex Operating System (TEOS) that improves safety, usability, efficiency of navigation, operation, and information flow.
Guillaume Bertrand, RT sales manager, Terex Cranes, said, “The addition of the TRT 35 will enhance an already significant product range offered by Terex rough terrain cranes, meeting both market and customer needs for a flexible yet durable off-road crane.
As well as the intuitive TEOS control system, the TRT crane has compact dimensions, proportional telescopic full-power boom, and come equipped for T-Link telematics, allowing geo localization and remote diagnostics.”
The TRT 35 is a 38.5-USt rough terrain crane with a synchronized, four-section boom that gives the operator the best lifting performance, regardless of the boom length.
With a width of only 8.2’ and four steering options let the crane maneuver easily in congested or narrow areas.
The Cummins 4-cylinder diesel engine and Eco Mode deliver high power and optimized fuel consumption. The TRT 35 is compatible with Cummins QSB4.5 Stage IIIA - Tier 3, Cummins QSB4.5 Stage 5 - Tier 4F to meet different regional needs.
The Powershift (permanent four-wheel drive) transmission has two modes to satisfy operators’ driving styles: manual mode with three speeds forward and three speeds reverse, or automatic mode with five speeds forward and three speeds reverse.
Terex T-Link telematics (standard) provide real-time information on the crane’s performance, along with LED lights.
Oher options include: 26.2’ side-stow lattice jib, radio remote controller, auxiliary winch with same performance as the main winch, outrigger control from the carrier, anemometer and cameras that the operator can watch on the 10” TEOS display in the cab.
Speaking of the GIS show, Sr. Sales Manager Stefania D’Apoli, said, “It was fantastic to be back at a show, welcome customers to our stand and showcase the capability of our equipment and discuss our latest innovations. We were delighted by how well the TRT 35 was received and we look forward to building on the connections made at GIS and discussing how our lifting solutions can meet their specific needs.”
The U.S. version of the TRT 35 will be available in early 2022.
