Registration is now open for The Utility Expo 2025, North America's largest event dedicated to utility and construction professionals. The biennial trade show will be held October 7–9 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
More than 900 companies are expected to showcase equipment, tools and technology serving electric, gas, telecommunications and water utilities. The event is designed to connect attendees with the latest innovations and real-world solutions across the utility construction landscape.
New to this year’s event is the HDD Rodeo, a horizontal directional drilling competition where leading crews will compete across eight lanes for high-value prizes, including equipment packages and cash awards. The expo is also expanding its commitment to jobsite safety with help from the Common Ground Alliance, spotlighting safe digging practices and the importance of calling 811 before excavation.
Recognizing the mental health needs of the utility workforce, a partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will provide resources and outreach. Another hands-on element will be the NUCA Equipment Operators Challenge, featuring interactive events like pipe placement, putting, cornhole and a water slide challenge.
Attendees can expect expanded education, more field classrooms and a new lunch symposium. A co-located women’s conference—Power to ADVANCE Women in Utilities—will offer professional development programming.
According to show director Brianne Somers, “Registering early ensures you are part of a professional, quality-driven experience designed to connect you with the latest equipment, innovations, and real-world solutions.”
The Utility Expo is hosted in Louisville, which offers convenient access for much of the U.S. population and a range of nearby accommodations. The event is produced by the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM).
