Prillaman’s Crane & Rigging Adds Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1

October 5, 2026 - Prillaman’s Crane & Rigging, Inc. has taken delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 mobile crane, adding the machine to its fleet as its 11th Liebherr crane. The Virginia-based company ordered the crane at ConExpo 2026 and took delivery at Liebherr USA Co.’s Newport News headquarters.

Prillaman’s Crane & Rigging has provided crane rental, storage, and heavy-haul services throughout Virginia, North Carolina, and Maryland for approximately 20 years. Its customers include government facilities, military bases, shipyards, and marinas.

The company relies on Liebherr cranes for lifting work associated with its projects.

The LTM 1250-5.1 is a five-axle mobile crane with a 300 U.S.-ton, or 250-metric-ton, lifting capacity. The crane is equipped with Liebherr’s LICCON2 system and is designed to provide high lifting capacity within the weight limitations of a five-axle mobile crane.

The crane also uses Liebherr’s VarioBallast system, which allows ballast adjustments within seconds and provides lifting capacities with a large ballast radius. The release notes that the configuration is suited for use on constricted sites.

The LTM 1250-5.1 can be equipped with a multifunctional folding jib, a long lowering fixed jib, or a rigid jib.

Liebherr’s VarioBase, ECOmode, and ECOdrive technologies are also included on the crane.
