September 1, 2004 - Several crane and aerial lift manufacturers recently announced key promotions within their organizations.

  • Bil-Jax, Inc., Archbold, Ohio, has appointed Steve Citron as manager of business development. Citron comes to Bil-Jax from JLG Industries and prior to that Genie Industries, where he held various positions over the course of nearly 20 years. Citron has significant experience in new product development, market research, and product introductions. He will report to Jeff Ott, president and CEO.

  •  JLG Industries, McConnellsburg, Pa., has named Philip H. Ruhbein as the new Senior Vice President of Strategic Operations.

  • Link-Belt Construction Equipment Co., Lexington, Ky., announces the appointment of Melvin Porter to the position of Chief Financial Officer/Vice President of Finance. Porter joined Link-Belt in 1999 as a financial planning and tax manager. He has also served as secretary of Link-Belt's Board of Directors.

  • Additionally, the company announces Joe Staton as product technician. Staton has been with Link-Belt since 1994. He has broad experience on both telescopic and lattice boom product lines, including calibration and set up of LMIs and RCLs.

  • The Manitowoc Crane Group, Manitowoc , Wis., has promoted Kyle Nape to Vice President of Sales • Latin America. Nape has more than 20 years experience, including eight years with Grove, where he served as district manager and director of sales for Latin America. Through Kyle's leadership we have increased sales in this most important market,” said David Birkhauser, senior vice president of sales at Manitowoc Crane Group - Americas . “In addition, Kyle was instrumental in establishing our new office in Monterrey, Mexico. He also played a pivotal role in helping integrate the Grove, Potain, National and Manitowoc sales team into one cohesive organization supporting Latin America.”
