OZ Lifting Products LLC will introduce a prototype stainless steel davit crane at the Water Environment Federation’s Technical Exhibition & Conference (WEFTEC), scheduled for Sept. 27 to Oct. 1 at McCormick Place in Chicago. The company will exhibit at Booth 5806 during the final three days of the event.
The Winona, Minnesota-based manufacturer, which has previously exhibited at WEFTEC, designed the new crane for applications where corrosion resistance is critical. The prototype will be available in 500-pound and 1,000-pound capacities. Both type 304 and type 316 stainless steel are specified for water and wastewater operations, with type 316 required in coastal and marine environments.
“The latest addition to our product range has its perfect launchpad — WEFTEC — where water quality professionals gather to find material handling and other solutions for the special demands of their work,” said Richard Miller, sales manager at OZ Lifting. “The stainless steel davit crane will be of interest to many markets, but it will be especially relevant to the wastewater industry.”
Full-scale production is expected to begin ahead of Q1 2026. The crane will be compatible with pedestal, socket, wall mount and wheel bases, allowing it to adapt to different installations and jobsite requirements.
OZ Lifting will also display its Tele-Pro davit crane series, which offers capacities of 500, 1,200 and 2,500 pounds and allows operators to telescope the boom under load. Miller said this capability improves efficiency in water and wastewater applications.
“This feature allows plant personnel to fine-tune the boom length mid-lift, without having to stop and re-rig, improving efficiency and reducing downtime,” Miller said. “It’s particularly useful for tasks like pulling pumps, mixers or screens from wet wells or clarifiers, where conditions can change quickly and precise positioning is critical.”
Other davits in the booth will include the 1,200-pound-capacity CompOZite, built from lightweight composite material, and the CompOZite Elite, a carbon fiber crane weighing only 37 pounds. Both are designed for corrosion resistance and portability.
“All of our davit cranes are designed for quick, tool-free assembly and can be used across multiple interchangeable bases installed throughout a facility,” Miller said. “The advanced composite material and carbon fiber are not only incredibly strong but also corrosion-resistant, ensuring long service life even in harsh, high-moisture or chemical-rich environments, typical of wastewater plants.”
OZ Lifting will also present its stainless series of trolleys, clamps, hoists and winches. Each winch can be drill-driven with an included adapter, and all products are built for durability in high-moisture environments.
Company representatives at the show will include Miller, Steve Napieralski, president and Parker Hale, inside sales specialist.
