Nors has acquired distribution rights for Manitowoc mobile cranes across several Canadian provinces and territories, expanding its crane dealer footprint in Western and Central Canada.

Under the agreement, Nors will serve customers in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec, as well as the Yukon and Northwest Territories. The company will operate as the sole dealer for Manitowoc mobile cranes in these territories.

As part of the expansion, Nors has opened a new facility in Surrey, British Columbia, intended to support crane service, parts supply and equipment distribution. The company said the location integrates employees and existing inventory transferred from the Acheson branches, while additional technicians will be hired to support Manitowoc mobile crane customers.

Nors has operated in the Canadian market since 2020 following its acquisition of Strongco. The company currently supplies equipment and services to industries including construction and infrastructure, mining, oil and gas, forestry, waste management and municipal operations. Its portfolio includes brands such as Manitowoc and Grove, among others.

“The acquisition of distribution rights for these crane brands in Canada further expands our territory and reinforces our long-term commitment to the region. We believe the reliability and innovation of these brands will play a vital role in supporting essential construction, infrastructure and heavy industry projects, contributing to sustainable economic growth. Our focus remains on building strong relationships with the community and our partners, ensuring this investment delivers value for all,” said Francisco Ramos, COO of Nors and head of the construction equipment business segment.

According to Nors, the expanded coverage aligns with its broader strategy to grow its crane business in North America by increasing geographic reach and strengthening dealer support infrastructure.
