New 90-tm Effer Loader Crane Features Extra Reach, Advanced Controls
Feb. 16, 2023 - Hiab, part of Cargotec, has launched the Effer iQ.950 HP, a 90-tonne-meter (650,970-ft.-lb.) heavy range loader crane with the V12-Power boom and new SPACEevo operating system. The new crane can be ordered now.
The iQ.950HP is a multi-purpose crane that can do a wide range of vertical and horizontal lifting jobs safely and precisely at high speed.
The 12-sided V12-Power boom is used in Effer’s newest loader cranes. Combined with a jib, it offers extra vertical and horizontal reach. The Effer iQ.950 HP’s compact dimensions and light weight enable installation on a range of trucks.
The crane’s precision and safety are enhanced by the SPACEevo control system, which provides advanced functions for easy operation, says Hiab.
The crane’s lifting capacity can be increased with the VSL+ (Variable Stability Logic-plus) function that uses the load as an active part of stabilization setup, and the DLC-S (Dynamic Load Chart) reduces the time it takes to configure stabilization.
The new CombiDrive4 remote control from Olsbergs offers operators several personalization options, for example operating speed. It also carries safety features like Confirmed View, which detects whether the operator is in a position to see the opening of the stabilizers.
“The new Effer models provide our customers with efficient loader cranes that increase both payload capacity and lifting performance, thanks to our engineering and technological advancements,” said Marcel Boxem, Hiab’s vice president of sales and product management for heavy and super heavy loader cranes. “They offer the same performance as bigger models but can be installed on smaller and more cost-conscious trucks. This is another milestone to cope with our customer demand to reduce CO2 emissions and enhance their operations in urban areas.”
Hiab says the Effer iQ.950 HP has its most advanced SPACEevo control system, which can be customized to the needs of a customer’ operators.
Also, the iQ.950 HP shares parts and controls with the other iQ. and iX. range cranes. That makes it easier for operators to use the different models and for owners of multiple units to reduce inventory by storing common spare parts that can be used across the series.
In selected markets, owners can access ProCare service contracts and HiConnect connected service.
ProCare offers scheduled and proactive maintenance for a fixed cost. The service contracts are available in three levels: Total R&M, Essential, and Extended Warranty.
HiConnect provides access to real-time insights about the condition of the equipment. Customers can monitor equipment status, plan service, and improve operations, whether for one crane or for whole fleets.
HiConnect is available in two levels: HiConnect Insights and HiConnect Premium.
