July 26, 2023 – After the successful launch of the Veterans In Crane Training Outstanding Recognition (V.I.C.T.O.R) award program in 2021, the NCCCO Foundation and Heavy Equipment Colleges of America (HEC) are excited to announce the expansion of the program to two additional HEC locations.
Going forward, at the conclusion of each quarter, the V.I.C.T.O.R. award will now recognize the top-performing veteran in each of the four HEC locations providing training for NCCCO mobile crane operator certification.
The award originally provided recognition to only those in the HEC training classes for veterans at Fort Irwin Army Base in California and at Joint Base Lewis-McChord location in Washington State, but will now include HEC training programs in Stone Crest, Georgia and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Gift cards provided to each award winner will also increase from $100 to $250 in value, in addition to the YETI tumbler, and a Certificate of Achievement plaque. Profiles of award winners will be shared and highlighted on HEC and NCCCO Foundations websites.
“The NCCCO Foundation is excited to work with HEC of America to continue the V.I.C.T.O.R. program and expand it to more locations.” said NCCCO Foundation Executive Director T.J. Cantwell. “The program is an important way for the NCCCO Foundation to help facilitate access for veterans to crane and rigging careers and encourage more veterans to pursue a career in the industry by highlighting exceptional veterans” Cantwell added.
“The V.I.C.T.O.R. award program is a great opportunity to reward excellence among our veteran students and the ability to expand that opportunity to veterans at our other locations is wonderful,” said HECA CEO, Bob Albano.
