Manitex Goes Electric

article-image

While electric truck chassis options are being watched closely by boom truck manufacturers for future product development, Manitex has developed their ECSY-Electric Crane System for operations where local power is available.

The ECSY-Electric Crane System, according to the manufacturer, is ideal for lifting applications in low noise and emissions-sensitive environments and for jobs requiring the crane to remain on site for extended periods.

Standard features of the ECSY-Electric Crane System include a 480-volt, 100-amp electric motor with a quick disconnect receptacle and a variable displacement piston pump supplying power to the crane. Wireless control is offered with the system, and it is also designed to be mounted on fixed pegs with pins and can be moved from one crane to another by fleets when equipment is fitted with an ECSY Ready package.
