Link-Belt Names New VPs and District Manager

Jan. 18, 2022 - Link-Belt Cranes has named new vice presidents of manufacturing and engineering, as well as a new district manager for Latin America.

Schultz

Richard Shultz has been named vice president of  manufacturing. Shultz began his career at Link-Belt in 1990 as an associate design engineer. He continued to progress along that path, leading telescopic products for 14 years before becoming director of quality in 2016 and vice president of engineering in 2018. Shultz holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering from the University of Kentucky and a master’s in business administration from Xavier University.

Gene Martin has been promoted to Vice President, Engineering for Link-Belt Cranes effective January 1, 2022. Melvin Porter, Link-Belt Cranes president and CEO made the announcement at the company’s headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky, USA.

Martin began his career at Link-Belt in 1998 as an associate design engineer. In 2014, he became

engineering manager, guiding new designs for rough terrain and telescopic crawler cranes. Martin holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Ohio State University.

Jaime Hernández has been named international district manager for Latin America. Roy Burger, Link-Belt Cranes International Sales Manager made the announcement at the company’s headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky, USA.

Hernandez

Hernández holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and brings over 26 years of experience in the heavy equipment industry, most recently working as a Commercial Manager for Argo Tractors in Latin America. Hernandez will be based in Miami.
