September 21, 2023 - Crane, rigging, and hauling expert, Snell Crane Service, Olympia, Washington, has added a 135-USt Liebherr LTM 1120-4.1 all-terrain crane to its growing fleet.
For more than 25 years, Snell has been offering top-of-the-line crane, rigging and hauling services throughout Washington and Oregon.
The company recently bought the four-axle Liebherr all-terrain crane to expand the company’s lifting capabilities and to help handle and move large or bulky loads.
The addition of the LTM 1120-4.1 brings Snell’s fleet to 19 cranes, six of them Liebherrs.
“We needed a crane that fit between our 60-ton truck crane and 245-ton all terrain crane,” noted Andy Stone, crane superintendent. “Liebherr has always been a very reliable product for us and the technical support is top notch.”
The company offers many crane, rigging, and hauling services, including bridge girders, tilt ups, cell tower installation, precast work, HVAC replacement, underground utilities, and many other construction and crane needs.
Snell prides itself on providing safe, reliable services and in building long-lasting relationships with its customers.
“The LTM 1120-4.1 is a perfect addition to Snell Crane’s diverse crane fleet, and it really enhances the service and capability that they can provide to their customers in the region,” said Damien Knight, Liebherr’s regional sales manager for the Pacific Northwest. “The 217’ telescoping boom on a compact four-axle carrier provides them with so many opportunities to handle projects that would generally take a much larger crane.”
Knight added that the LTM 1120-4.1 travels well in the region and requires minimal support equipment to haul the counterweight needed for most jobs.
The chassis measures 38’4” long, and the crane’s overall roading length from boom tip to back of winch is just 48’9”. It can travel with boom, winch, and outriggers, but no counterweight at as little as 105,800 lbs., or 26,400 lbs. per axle.
“Adding wind-speed load charts to our VarioBase and VarioBallast technology makes this crane very user friendly and able to take on so much with ease in a variety of site conditions,” Knight said.
