JLG Adds Its Logo to Four Telehandler Brands
|
August, 26 2004 - Since acquiring SkyTrak ®, Lull ®, and Gradall brands of telescopic handlers in previous years, JLG Industries, McConnellsburg, Pa., has maintained the importance of these strong band identities. Yet, JLG certainly carries its own brand weight and as such the company is now adding the JLG logo as part of these brands' identity.
"Although JLG now manufactures four brands of telehandlers-JLG, Gradall, SkyTrak and Lull-each of our brands has its own identity and special features. They meet varying requirements of different market segments, and each needs to maintain its own brand name to reflect that identity and those features," explained Ky Kuehling, vice president of telehandler products. "However, they are all being manufactured and distributed in accordance with the quality standards of JLG Industries, and we believe that too should be reflected in their identification," he said.
JLG initials will now appear near the base of the boom on these brands while the individual brand names have been given increased prominence. The top of the boom, known as the head weldment, shows the maximum capacity of the machines and all four models have the model designation on the engine cover.
The JLG, SkyTrak, and Lull brands will share a common orange main color, while the Gradall machines will remain blue. Standardized paint colors on axles, wheels and other components give all the brands of machines more common family look.
Manufacturing integration of the SkyTrak ® and Lull® brands into the McConnellsburg facility is now complete and production of those machines is underway.
