May 5, 2023 - Select Crane Sales has taken delivery of the first Terex TRT40 US, a new 40-USt rough-terrain crane that’s designed specifically for North America and replaces the 35-USt TRT35 in the Terex lineup.
The unit is currently in the Select Crane's New Jersey yard.
Jason MacKenzie, president of Select Crane, said the new TRT40US is available for sale or rent, and is ideal for applications ranging from general lifting and yard logistics to infrastructure projects and port work.
The TRT40 US features 40-USt maximum capacity and a four-section, full-power, proportionally extending, 99’ boom with a 108’ maximum tip height (135’ with optional jib).
Its other key features include an extra-wide and tiltable cab, four steering modes, customizable electronic joysticks, the Terex TEOS operating system with full-color touchscreen display, and T-Link telematics with remote access to fleet data. EcoMode reduces fuel consumption with automatic engine throttle during operation and stand-by mode to reduce engine idling.
Mackenzie said that customers like the performance and reliability of the Terex TRT35, “And since the new TRT40 US has more capacity and similar features, we think customers will like it even better.”
