Finning Distributes Perkins Engines in the U.K.

August 30, 2004 • Finning International, Vancouver, British Columbia, announced last week that it has been granted the United Kingdom distribution rights for Perkins Engines, which will be effective this December. The company already distributes Perkins engines in Chile and Western Canada.

 

“This is an important milestone for Finning in its strategy to grow its global power and energy business,” said Doug Whitehead, president and chief executive officer of Finning International. “In addition to carrying the Caterpillar-branded line of engines, expansion of our product line to include other Caterpillar-owned engine products in our existing territories is an important step in this strategy.”

 

Finning sells, rents, finances, and provides customer support services for Caterpillar equipment and engines in Western Canada, the United Kingdom, and South America. The company estimates annual revenue in the first full year of distribution in the United Kingdom will be about $38 million (USD).
