Engineered Giving has named Jaden Rozum as the inaugural recipient of its annual $3,000 scholarship, awarded to a high school senior or college/vocational student preparing for a career in the heavy lifting and transport industry. Recipients must also demonstrate strong community involvement, reflecting the nonprofit’s mission to positively impact communities where Engineered Rigging employees live and work.
Rozum is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in economics at the University of Michigan and is set to graduate in May 2026. He follows a family legacy in the heavy lifting and transport industry — his grandparents, father and aunt expanded MSA Delivery Service in Canton, Mich., from a small operation into a fleet of 50 trucks, 150 trailers and 60 employees providing curtainside transportation of over-dimensional and heavy loads.
An honors and Dean’s List student, Rozum founded the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization and serves as its president. He has also volunteered as a camp counselor at Camp Invention, a hands-on STEM program for children in grades K–6.
“At Engineered Rigging, we recognize that people are the heart of our business. This scholarship will help to develop the next generation of leadership in the heavy lifting and rigging industry. We are thrilled to recognize the hard work and achievements of Jaden Rozum and look forward to seeing his future contributions to our industry,” said Christopher Cox, PE, founder of Engineered Rigging.
Engineered Giving, launched in June, supports charitable initiatives and community outreach. Its first grant recipient was the Arkansas River Valley Food 4 Kids summer program, which provides daily meals for 1,200 school-age children during the summer months.
