Barnhart Crane & Rigging Co. has announced that David Webster has been appointed President, succeeding Alan Barnhart, who has led the company as President and CEO for over 38 years. Barnhart will continue as CEO through most of 2025 and later serve as Chairman of the Board to guide the company's long-term strategic direction.
Webster, who joined Barnhart in 2014 as a branch manager, has steadily risen through the company, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer.
“For nearly four decades, leading this company has been a privilege,” said Alan Barnhart. “We often talk about being a ‘hundred-year company,’ and with David at the helm, I have every confidence we will reach that vision and beyond.”
Jeff Latture, Executive Vice President, emphasized that the leadership transition is part of a long-term strategy designed to ensure stability and continued expansion.
“David takes over at a time when Barnhart is strong and growing,” said Latture. “With Alan Barnhart remaining as chairman, the company will continue to benefit from his leadership and vision.”
