Bennett Promotes Miller to President of BOSS Crane & Rigging
Aug. 10, 2022 – The Bennett Family of Companies (Bennett), McDonough, Georgia, has promoted Richard Miller to president of Bennett On-Site Services LLC (BOSS).
BOSS Crane & Rigging is an affiliated operating company of Bennett that offers crane and rigging solutions. BOSS is headquartered in Longview, Texas.
An experienced business leader, Richard Miller succeeds David Cowley, former president of BOSS who passed away of ALS. Miller officially took the reins on Aug. 1.
Miller joined BOSS more than a year ago as executive vice president. In that role, he worked closely with Cowley to help improve the company’s operations and financial performance.
“BOSS is a fast-growing company with a lot of expansion in its future. We are looking forward to Richard helping to build upon the dream that David Cowley and his family shared for BOSS,” said David Lowry, vice president of Bennett Family of Companies.
Miller has a record of achievement in leading high-performance teams in growth and positive results.
For more than 30 years, Miller has built a legacy in the crane, rigging, and specialized transportation industry.
He is a veteran of the United States Army and has a master’s degree in business administration and business law from DeVry University’s Keller Graduate School of Management.
In his career, he has worked his way from working as a steerman/swamper to holding executive roles for well-known companies.
“We are very excited for the promotion of Richard Miller at BOSS,” said Marcia Taylor, CEO of Bennett Family of Companies. “Richard’s experience in the crane, rigging, and on-site services industry will be a great asset to moving the company forward.”
Said Miller, “I am very humbled and excited to be named president of BOSS. I look forward to this opportunity and being able to build upon the legacy that was built from our good friend and brother, David Cowley. These are big shoes to fill, but I’m honored to be working with the world-class team at BOSS to grow and expand our crane, rigging, and heavy transportation services in the industry.”
