Bay Crane Buys Capital City Group

 Feb. 21, 2022 - The Bay Crane Companies Inc. (Bay Crane), the largest provider of specialty crane and rigging equipment services in the northeastern United States, has continued its expansion into the Midwest by buying Capital City Group Inc. (Capital City), Columbus, Ohio.

The acquisition makes Bay Crane one of the 10 largest crane service companies in North America, and gives it 15 full-service locations.

Capital City is one of the leading crane and rigging companies in the midwestern United States. Brian Gibson, president and shareholder, has been the driving force expanding the family-owned business founded by his father, Chet, in 1993.

Bernardo added that Capital City has sustained growth and outstanding service through business cycles and that Brian Gibson will continue as president of Capital City.
