AWP Safety has appointed Craig Young as its new chief information officer, marking a significant step in the company’s digital transformation aimed at enhancing safety and efficiency for infrastructure customers across the U.S.
As CIO, Young will direct the company’s enterprise technology strategy and oversee efforts to unify digital operations, improve real-time data access and streamline the overall digital experience for clients.
“Craig brings both vision and deep experience to AWP Safety,” said Rob Sehnert, president and chief executive officer. “He understands how to use technology to drive transformation — helping us scale smarter, better serve customers and strengthen our position across North America.”
Young’s appointment supports AWP Safety’s broader commitment to digital integration, automation and transparency as the construction and infrastructure sectors face labor shortages, regulatory challenges and increasing demand for accountability.
With more than 30 years in enterprise technology, Young previously served as chief technology officer at Tillman FiberCo and global CIO at SWIFT, the world’s leading financial messaging system. He also held senior roles at Verizon and Verizon Wireless, focusing on consumer commerce and enterprise platforms.
A U.S. Navy veteran, Young earned a bachelor’s degree in information systems management from Bellevue University and completed executive training at IESE Business School.
“AWP Safety operates at the intersection of infrastructure growth and safety innovation,” Young said. “I’m excited to help shape the digital tools and systems that will protect frontline workers, empower our teams and create a safer tomorrow for the communities we serve.”
