The American Ladder Institute (ALI) marked the end of National Ladder Safety Month 2025 with a series of initiatives designed to raise awareness and promote safer ladder use on worksites and at home.
Observed every March, the campaign included three webinars that drew 868 attendees. In addition, ALI President Mike Van Bree led a national media tour, appearing in 14 interviews that reached an estimated 16 million people. ALI also collaborated with DIY influencer April Wilkerson to produce safety-focused video content for her audience.
As part of its continued push for year-round awareness, ALI released an updated Ladder Safety Training video, which now includes telescoping ladders alongside single and extension ladder types.
In support of ongoing workforce training, ALI launched its new Safety Ambassador Program. The initiative encourages companies to certify that at least 80% of their ladder-using employees have passed ALI’s Ladder Safety Training. Participants who meet the threshold gain access to a promotional toolkit to further safety messaging within their organizations.
The available training modules include Stepladder Safety; Single, Extension & Telescoping Ladder Safety; Articulated Ladder Safety; and Mobile Ladder Stands Safety.
Sponsors of this year’s campaign included the International Masonry Institute, the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, Werner Co., Riverdale Plating & Heat Treat, Dorsey & Whitney and Louisville Ladder.
Founded in 1947, the American Ladder Institute is a not-for-profit trade association focused on ladder safety training and the development of ANSI safety standards. ALI represents major ladder manufacturers in North America and is the organizer of National Ladder Safety Month.
