AEM's President Named to U.S. Chamber of Commerce Committee
July 7, 2004 - Dennis Slater, president of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has been named to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's "Committee of 100." The committee includes a cross-section of U.S. associations and recommends Chamber policy and programs related to associations.
Participants in the Committee of 100 are chosen based on leadership, advocacy involvement, and management expertise. AEM is a founding member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which was organized in 1912.
"Our Chamber participation is an example of AEM's outreach efforts to help equipment manufacturers address the impact of increased government legislation and regulations on their businesses," said Slater.
